Programs

Year-round work,
not one day a year

Six programs carry the mission between celebrations. Each one is open to new communities, partners, and volunteers.

Flagship event

Bindi cultural fashion show

A designer-led runway evening pairing traditional and contemporary dress, with proceeds funding the grant round. Hosted annually and licensed to partner cities.

Ages 14–22

Youth leadership workshop

A one-day intensive on public speaking, cultural confidence, and organising. Participants leave with a project plan and a mentor.

Schools & campuses

Heritage education series

Free, teacher-reviewed lesson plans on the history and significance of the bindi, plus visiting speakers for classrooms and student groups.

Micro-grants

Women's enterprise circle

Small grants and six months of mentoring for women building cultural businesses — textiles, jewellery, catering, arts instruction.

Local hosts

Community celebration grants

Seed funding and a complete event toolkit for anyone hosting World Bindi Day where they live. Apply once, host every year.

Ongoing

Storytelling archive

Recorded first-person stories from women across generations, preserved and published openly for researchers, teachers, and families.

Bring a program to your city

You host it. We help you run it.

Community hosts receive the event toolkit, print-ready design files, a run-of-show template, speaker notes, and a named contact on our team from planning through to reporting.

Applications open twice a year. No prior event experience is required — most of our hosts started with their first.

Sponsor a program.

Corporate and family sponsorships fund a full workshop cohort, a grant round, or a city celebration.
